Background and Experience

  • Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology from University of Louisville

  • Completed formal pre-doctoral training at Cambridge Health Alliance and Harvard Medical School, including specialized training within the Victims of Violence trauma program, a general outpatient clinic, and the hospital’s emergency and acute psychiatric services

  • Researcher whose work has been published in academic journals including The Counseling Psychologist and The Behavior Therapist, and on non-scholarly media outlets including Autostraddle and Everyday Feminism, and has been recognized with awards from the World Professional Association for Transgender Health and Division 44 of the American Psychological Association

  • Trainer and consultant with ten years of experience educating and writing on issues related to the transgender and gender diverse community

  • Member of the editorial board for the peer-reviewed journal Psychotherapy

  • Non-voting member of the executive board of the American Psychological Association’s Division 44: The Society for the Psychology of Gender and Sexuality Diversity

  • Member of the Massachusetts Psychological Association’s task force on diversity, equity, and inclusion

  • Senior research advisor at Team Finch Consultants

  • Currently a clinician and post-doctoral psychology fellow at the Program for Psychotherapy within Cambridge Health Alliance and Harvard Medical School

  • Transgender man, meaning I am a man who was assigned a female sex at birth and has undergone a gender transition
