As a clinician, researcher, and educator, I am driven by a broad mission to use psychological science and practice to advance healing and challenge oppression.


Background and Experience

  • Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology from University of Louisville

  • Formal pre-doctoral clinical training completed at Cambridge Health Alliance and Harvard Medical School

  • Ten years of experience educating and writing on issues related to the transgender and gender diverse community

  • Member of the editorial board for the peer-reviewed journal Psychotherapy

  • My own research and writing can be found in issues of The Counseling Psychologist and The Behavior Therapist, and on non-scholarly media outlets including Autostraddle and Everyday Feminism, as well as my blog

  • Non-voting member of the executive board of the American Psychological Association’s Division 44: The Society for the Psychology of Gender and Sexuality Diversity

  • Member of the Massachusetts Psychological Association’s task force on diversity, equity, and inclusion

  • Currently a post-doctoral psychology fellow at Cambridge Health Alliance and Harvard Medical School

  • Identify openly as a transgender man, meaning I am a man who was assigned a female sex at birth
